Procedure process
- Consultation: Upon assessment that you are suitable for Invisalign treatment, a digital scan or impressions (“mould”) of your teeth will be taken.
- Treatment Plan: Our dentist will develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs and sequence the movement of teeth accordingly. Using this plan as a blueprint, a series of aligners will be custom-made to fit your teeth.
- Aligner Fabrication: Based on the treatment plan, a series of custom-made aligners are created in a laboratory. These aligners are made of clear plastic and are designed to gradually shift your teeth.
- Aligner Wear and Monitoring: You’ll receive your first set of aligners and begin wearing them according to the orthodontist’s instructions.Typically, you’ll wear each set for 7-14 days (duration will vary according to the case complexity). There may be slight discomfort in the first few days of aligner wear, as well as with each change of aligner set, as your teeth are being moved into the desired positions.
- Completion and Maintenance: Once your treatment is complete, you’ll receive a retainer to maintain the results of your tooth movement. Regular dental check-ups are recommended to ensure long-term stability of your new smile.

Should your aligners break or go missing, please inform our orthodontist as soon as possible and he/she will advise you of the next steps.
The aligners should be worn most of the day and during your sleep, approximately 20 hours a day. Aligners must be cleaned daily to avoid plaque build-up. They also have to be removed before food and beverages, to prevent food and sugar accumulation within the aligners. Care must be exercised not to lose or distort your aligners.
